David Marino

David Marino has been performing, writing, directing and coaching improv and scripted theater in the Boston area for over 20 years. In addition to performing with ImprovBoston MainStage for almost a decade, he produced several innovative shows exclusively for the theater including Archipelago, UnNatural Selection, Continuum, Center Mike, Code Duello, the attendance record-breaking Groaners and Boners, Red Alert!, and the award-winning Agent Spy, which was showcased at the 2004 Chicago Improv Festival. He has written and directed a number of plays and musicals throughout the region including the Boston One-Minute Play Festival, Shtick it to Vaudeville, and the critically acclaimed Pirate Lives: The Musical! Specializing in theater-based interpersonal communications David has been coaching industry leaders for over 25 years. Using creative and dynamic presentation techniques from scripted and improvisational theater, he engages with individuals, non-profit and for-profit companies to create inspiring and interactive leadership practices that demonstrate powerful and effective communication strategies. David is the founding director of Groaners for Donors, a performance-based fundraising production company “dedicated to raising money for your nonprofit organization by providing a unique comedy experience. We make the funny, you make the money!”

Misch Whitaker

Misch Whitaker has studied and performed improv comedy for ten years. Past credits include ImprovBoston Mainstage (2013-2014); Improv Asylum Mainstage (2008-2012); NXT at Improv Asylum(2007-2008); TheaterSports at ImprovBoston(2007). She is currently the director of Boston's Unscripted Musical Project, with whom she has also been performing for two years. Misch is the program director of Stories Without Roofs and works as a nurse during the day. She lives in Cambridge and enjoys naps and the ocean. Danny Balel

Danny Balel has been teaching and performing for over ten years. He teaches Theater at Clark University, where he oversees a Theater Education program in the Main South neighborhood of Worcester. In addition, Danny teaches at Improv Boston, everything from weekly classes, workshops, to birthday parties. Currently he is a member of Improv Boston's Touring Company and All Access, the fast flying show for all ages. Danny is a previous member of Comedy Sportz Boston and Magic the Gathering: the Improvised Show. He produces Cagematch, a weekly competitive show at Improv Boston. He lives in Davis Square, Somerville, and enjoys candied yams and big dogs. Corey O'Rourke

Corey O’Rourke is a graduate of Suffolk University with a degree in Theater Studies, and English. He began doing Improv in 2006 and since then has worked with many companies and performers. Corey has taken classes and been through the training centers of multiple theaters. He has performed and worked with Improv Asylum, Catalyst Comedy, Urban Improv, and ImprovBoston. Corey was on the original cast of Boston’s Unscripted Musical Project, he spent years performing anywhere he could. Corey found a home at ImprovBoston in the fall of 2013, Joining the ImprovBoston National Touring Company, and was an original cast member of All Access Improv. In that time, Corey has worked hard to grow the brand and to expand the work that the company does. He works often with the community’s youth, in schools and after school, through youth troupes and anti-bullying initiatives. Corey is so proud of all of the work that ImprovBoston does, and couldn’t be any more excited to start a new Journey with All Access.

Kate McGroarty

Kate McGroarty is a current member of ImprovBoston's Mainstage and Music Improv Casts, the Director of All Access Improv and a proud teacher for the IB Comedy School. She is an alumni of ImprovBoston's Touring Company, Musical Improv Group Hidden Falls and Long Form show White Rabbit. Her Chicago credits include performances in Music Improv Groups One Night Only and Slow Clap Symphony, Sketch group Shanna’s Mom and work with Griffin Theatre, Remy Bummpo and Steep Theatre companies as well as various commercial and short film appearances. She is a graduate of the conservatory programs at The Second City Training Center and the theater program at Northwestern University.

Ben Snitkoff

Ben got his start in comedy and performance at sleepover camp in the early 90s. He's since been in too many musicals and one acts to count. In college he started to hone his talent for improv. After graduation, Ben moved to Boston, and then joined ImprovBoston community in 2008. He's since completed the Improv and Harold programs and joined the cast of Marjean, then Shays' Rebellion, Plan B, Ginsburg, The Rack, The Abundance, War Cupcake, and other Harold Night teams. Ben performs two to three times a month as part of Harold Night. Ben also performs with other groups, including We'll Fix it in Post, Awkward by Proxy, and Oh Boy. He has also directed a resident cast, and is a former teacher in the ImprovBoston Comedy School.

MB teaches Improv 101 in our Comedy School, she has formerly served as Assistant to the Managing Director, producer of the Comedy Lab and as a cast member of the ImprovBoston Family Show and Touring Company. Sara Burns

Sara Burns is a cast member of ImprovBoston's Mainstage and National Touring Company, director of Saturday night's Face Off, and teaches several courses in our Comedy School. She is an alumni of ImprovBoston's Face Off, Harold Night, and Studio 40, and adds many sketch shows, studio runs and national festivals to her credits. Sara is a current cast member of national free-form group Big Bang Improv and IB's Musical Improv Cast, and is a professional stage and screen actor in the Boston area. Her offstage passions include plant life, poetry, and puns.

Conor Allen

Originally from California, Conor Allen began taking classes at ImprovBoston in 2009. He has performed previously at Harold Night with The Buskers and BANKWOLF and currently plays with Specter. Conor can also be seen performing as a member of the ImprovBoston Mainstage and with his indie team Aeropuerto. Conor has been known to play the drums and have conversations with stuffed animals.

Gregory Scott

Greg originally hails from Dallas, Texas where he trained and taught at the Dallas Comedy House. He joined the ImprovBoston community two years ago when he was offered the opportunity to perform as part of the theatre's Harold Night cast. Since that time Greg has taken on several projects including Magic: The Gathering: The Show, performering with partner Ari Stern in Two Gentlemen, joining as a traveling member of Will Luera's Big Bang, and producing One Man Army which regularly features his solo-improv act The Greg Show. He recently joined The ImprovBoston National Touring Company and can be found regularly performing, teaching, and directing across the city. Outside of improv, Greg is a marketing professional and a major geek.

Jenna O'Brien

Jenna O'Brien was born and raised in Boston and if you have ever talked to her you would know that. She began acting when she was a freshman at Bowdoin College where she graduated with an Art History and Visual Arts major and a theater minor. In 2008, Jenna started taking improv classes at ImprovBoston and it has since taken over her life. Jenna has had the privilege of performing in many of ImprovBoston’s Comedy Lab and Showcase shows such as ‘Wheel Of Austen: An Improvised Jane Austen Novel’, ‘Gorefest VIII: Cirque du Slaughte’, and ‘Camping with Friends’. She was a producer for the Comedy Lab, a member of ‘Face Off’ for over 3 years, and is currently a member of the Mainstage Ensemble.

Liz Roderick brings her love of performing and her degree in non-profit management to this new role. She is thrilled and honored to be performing with ImprovBoston's Mainstage and ImprovBoston's National Touring Company. Liz teaches Level 201 and loves encouraging, challenging and coaching the theater's next generation of super-stars. She is beyond excited to be working for a place that has brought her so much joy over the last 5 years. In her spare time, Liz loves running, yoga, snuggling up with a good book, her incredible group of friends, living in Cambridge, her family and her baby Penny who is, unbiasedly, the best and cutest baby that has ever lived.

Ben Scurria has been part of the ImprovBoston community for five years. He is cast member of ImprovBoston's Mainstage, National Touring Company and the Harold team, Rabbit. He has also been part of the cast of Face Off, Rich Uncle and countless other shows at ImprovBoston. Before moving to Boston, Ben lived and worked as an actor and teacher in Southern Vermont.
