Gregory Scott

Greg originally hails from Dallas, Texas where he trained and directed at the Dallas Comedy House. He joined the ImprovBoston community three years ago when he was offered the opportunity to perform as part of the theatre's Harold Night cast. Since that time Greg has taken on several projects including Magic: The Gathering: The Show, performering with partner Ari Stern in Two Gentlemen, joining as a traveling member of Will Luera's Big Bang, and producing One Man Army which regularly features his solo-improv act The Greg Show. He is a member of The ImprovBoston National Touring Company and can be found regularly performing, teaching, and directing across the city. Outside of improv, Greg is a marketing professional and a major geek.

Mike Morrell

Mike has been performing improv and stand up for the last 10 yrs. He's trained and worked in Boston (I.B/I.A), NYC (The PIT) and L.A. (IOWEST) He's created, directed and starred in shows, his favorite being Crime Solving Bear, which was hailed as, "borderline genius" He's run auditioning workshops with local casting directors. He's very good at finding what doesn't work in a scene and brainstorming options to solve that problem. If you have a problem and no one else can help...maybe you can hire...Mike Morrell.

David Marino

David Marino has been performing, writing, directing and coaching improv and scripted theater in the Boston area for over 20 years. In addition to performing with ImprovBoston MainStage for almost a decade, he produced several innovative shows exclusively for the theater including Archipelago, UnNatural Selection, Continuum, Center Mike, Code Duello, the attendance record-breaking Groaners and Boners, Red Alert!, and the award-winning Agent Spy, which was showcased at the 2004 Chicago Improv Festival. He has written and directed a number of plays and musicals throughout the region including the Boston One-Minute Play Festival, Shtick it to Vaudeville, and the critically acclaimed Pirate Lives: The Musical! Specializing in theater-based interpersonal communications David has been coaching industry leaders for over 25 years. Using creative and dynamic presentation techniques from scripted and improvisational theater, he engages with individuals, non-profit and for-profit companies to create inspiring and interactive leadership practices that demonstrate powerful and effective communication strategies. David is the founding director of Groaners for Donors, a performance-based fundraising production company “dedicated to raising money for your nonprofit organization by providing a unique comedy experience. We make the funny, you make the money!”

Ari is a cast member of ImprovBoston's Mainstage. Before that he spent 2 and a half years on Face Off. His diverse experience spans from short form games, to hour long mono scenes, to 10 week long continuous improvised story lines. He's done 1 man shows as well as shows with 19 cast members. He loves puppies and trees and hopes you'll join him in getting silly.

Elyse has been performing, teaching, and directing at ImprovBoston since 1999. Her favorite projects include: Radio Hour, John Hughes High, UnNatural Selection, and Misunderstood: Improvised Rock Opera. Elyse studied under such masters as Joe Bill, Susan Messing, Todd Stashwick, and Mick Napier. Liz Roderick, a graduate of the ImprovBoston school, is thrilled and honored to be performing with ImprovBoston's Mainstage and ImprovBoston's National Touring Company. Liz teaches Level 201 and loves encouraging, challenging and coaching the theater's next generation of super-stars. She is beyond excited to be working, both performing and as admin support, for a place that has brought her so much joy over the last 5 years. In her spare time, Liz loves running, yoga, snuggling up with a good book, her incredible group of friends, living in Cambridge, her family, and her baby Penny who is, unbiasedly, the best and cutest baby that has ever lived.

Nathaniel T. Lopez

Nate began at ImprovBoston as a member of the Family Show in January of 2013. A product of the IB Comedy School, he is currently a cast member on the IB Mainstage and the director of the annual original spooky play, Gorefest. Previously, he was the director of the acclaimed Family Show. He credits his time served on the submarine USS Los Angeles and his 2 sons as the source of his "comedy." Nate has been known to be self deprecating from time to time. Please love him.

Ari is a cast member of ImprovBoston's Mainstage. Before that he spent 2 and a half years on Face Off. His diverse experience spans from short form games, to hour long mono scenes, to 10 week long continuous improvised story lines. He's done 1 man shows as well as shows with 19 cast members. He loves puppies and trees and hopes you'll join him in getting silly.

Kristina Smarz

Currently a member of ImprovBoston’s Mainstage, Kristina has over 20 years of experience performing, as well as directing and teaching those of all ability levels. She first joined IB in 2004 as a member of Theatersports and has since then performed with the Touring Company, Mainstage, Face Off and various showcase shows such as Slainte, Girls’ Night Out, LuvBoat, Gorefest and Spice, which she directed and co-produced. As writer and producer, Kristina was a founding member of the Ruckus and Boston News Net. She also has a handful of local commercial and theatrical credits to her name, is a member of the Improv Asylum’s NXT cast, the Majestic Theater’s in-house troupe the Majesters and is pretty handy with a pneumatic nail gun. Kristina has a BA in Theater (and English) and has studied at ImprovBoston, ImprovAsylum, Williamstown Theater Festival, numerous workshops and tends to talk to strangers. You can follow her on Twitter @Smarzipantz, but barely ever tweets so feels a pang of guilt every time she gets a new follower. She likes lots of stuff and is genuinely curious how you’re doing.

Danny Balel

Danny Balel has been teaching and performing for over ten years. He teaches Theater at Clark University. He has taught in the public schools of Worcester, Public, Cambridge, and beyond. In addition, Danny teaches at Improv Boston, everything from weekly classes, workshops, to birthday parties. Currently he is a member of Improv Boston's Touring Company and Mainstage, as well as Magic the Gathering: The Show. Danny is a previous member of Comedy Sportz Boston and many indie teams in the Boston area. Danny has performed wtih Kevin Macdonald and Joe Bill, and has taken workshops with Mike Birbiglia, Liz Allen, and Susan Messing. He believes that improv should be playful, focused, and above all fun. He lives in Davis Square, Somerville, and enjoys candied yams, big dogs, and baking. MB teaches Improv 101 in our Comedy School, she has formerly served as Assistant to the Managing Director, producer of the Comedy Lab and as a cast member of the ImprovBoston Family Show and Touring Company. Christine Toohey

Christine Toohey is currently a cast member of ImprovBoston's National Touring Company, an instructor with the ImprovBoston Comedy School, and the coach for the Studio 40 musical improv team The Whale and the Porpoise. Previous improv casts include Face Off, Boston’s Unscripted Musical Project (B.U.M.P.), the Family Show, The Typing Pool, Improvised Hitchcock, and Motives & Alibis. She was the lead producer for GoreFest 2014. Improv directing credits include the ImprovBoston Family Show, the Princess Hour, and the Baby-Sitters Club Super Special Improv Show. Stage credits include roles with Argos Productions, Flat Earth Theatre, Independent Drama Society, and the Longwood Players. In Boston theatre, she has worked in management for New Repertory Theatre, and in marketing for the Independent Drama Society, Huntington Theatre Company, SpeakEasy Stage Company, and Commonwealth Shakespeare Company.
