john.serpico

John Serpico has been performing, directing and teaching at ImprovBoston since 2005, when he started as a member of the weekly show UnNatural Selection. In 2007, he joined the cast of Face Off, Boston's premiere competitive improv show, where he performed for five years before becoming the director in 2012. John has appeared in the original casts of several IB Showcase Shows (In The Garage, Unauthorized Biography, The Robert Cycle, Groaners & Boners, Laugh Track, This Improvised Life and Downton IB), in the revivals of Blue Screen and Quest, and was a founding member of the sketch troupe The Ruckus. He has also performed at the Del Close Marathon, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Boston First Night, the Lowell Comedy Festival, and Camprov. John loves to teach improv and has been an instructor at the theater since 2007. He has taught workshops at the Boston Comedy Arts Festival, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, the College Comedy Festival and for troupes throughout New England. In May of 2013, John was elected to the Board of Directors of ImprovBoston, where his focus is on operational efficiency and financial forecasting.
