Acting for the Improviser
Interested in the world of theater outside the comedy arts? Looking for basic acting training? This jam-packed, three-session class will explore traditional acting methods for working with scripted material. From terminology to technique, you will learn how to engage with a script, develop strong characters and engage with dynamic story through text. Through in-depth scenework, you will build a tool-belt that will serve you in traditional theater rehearsals and auditions. While the focus of this workshop is primarily on dramatic acting technique for scripted theater, you will also discover useful applications for your work in sketch and even improvised comedy.
