Musical Improv Bootcamp - 5/20-21

Musical Improv Bootcamp

15 hours of music improv.  2 days. 1 unforgettable experience. Join fellow music improv geeks from around the country in an epic celebration of this uniquely addictive artform. Singprov guru Mike Descoteaux (founder of the Second City Music Program, Artistic Director of ImprovBoston and co-creator of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production Blank! The Musical) leads participants through a creative boot camp guaranteed to challenge even the most advanced music improviser.

Over the course of 2 jam-packed days, we'll explore how to play with full confidence; how to get out of your own way and enjoy the true simplicity of song; how to say YES to musical offers with physical, emotional and vocal commitment; how structure can set you free; how to find the game in the song; and how to put it all together in a brilliantly satisfying, collaborative musical AllForm (IB's signature philosophy).

With ImprovBoston as your host, spend a weekend in the stunningly beautiful city of Boston. You'll see free shows each night at New England's biggest and longest running comedy theater, hang out with a class-full of new friends, sport some free ImprovBoston swag and blow it all out with an end-of-weekend showcase. While this is certainly a destination intensive, Boston improvisers are welcome to join in!
