ImprovBoston's After School Laughter School

The mission of our youth programming is to encourage and nurture our young performers’ innate curiosity, creativity, and ability to make connections with others. Our professionally-trained improv coaches create a fun and welcoming environment within which aspiring improvisers can explore, develop, and succeed, contributing to their overall sense of self-confidence, well being and connectedness.

With our Troupes, we focus on the skills necessary to build a supportive ensemble that showcases teamwork, individual strengths and, of course, completely improvised comedy onstage (and off!). Weekly rehearsals focus on “short-form” games to foster growth in improv’s key competencies including: agreement, emotional and physical heightening, character work, give/take of focus, group mind, and basic stage awareness. Troupe rehearsals culminate in a Saturday morning performance on the ImprovBoston Mainstage!

Prerequisite: None (No previous experience necessary). No audition required.

Tuition: $250 ($210 for CambridgePublic Schoolstudents)

See "Current Youth Classes" for upcoming Laughter School dates and online registration.
