Don Schuerman

Don Schuerman has been improvising since he joined the cast of My Mother’s Fleabag as a Boston College freshman. He started at ImprovBoston in 1997 and spent 15 years as a member of ImprovBoston Mainstage. He has appeared in countless Showcase shows, Comedy Lab performances and other hastily thrown together troupes. Don has directed numerous Showcase, Lab and student shows, as well as ImprovBoston TheatreSports (known today as Face Off) and 2012 season of the ImprovBoston Mainstage. As Director of Programming from 1999-2011, he instrumented the expansion of IB’s schedule from 4 to 15 shows a week and helped start annual IB traditions like the College Comedy Beanpot, GeekWeek, and the Holiday Spectacular. He is co-creator (with composer Steve Gilbane) of GoreFest, ImprovBoston’s annual Halloween musical. Don has appeared at the Comedy Connection, the Comedy Studio, the Chicago Improv Festival, the Toyota Comedy Festival and Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. He can be seen on Canadian television in the Comedy Network's World Improv Championships, where he was twice named Most Valuable Player. These days, most of Don’s improvisation involves Yes And’ing his two amazing kids.
