Melissa Carubia

Melissa Carubia is a composer, pianist, dancer, vocalist and actor that has been writing and performing for MOSAIC since 2009. She joined the ImprovBoston family in 2001 as a cast member of Micetro (which later became UnNatural Selection) and Boston Creem. Other ImprovBoston credits include performing in Commedia dell’ High School, Action Comix, Radio Hour, Real Puppets, Real Problems, Dirty Muthaf*cking Puppets, and Quest, teaching musical workshops, and accompanying various shows including the Robert Cycle and The Family Show. Outside of ImprovBoston, Melissa was the musical director for Zeitgeist Stage’s Norton award-winning play, “The Kentucky Cycle” as well as composer for “Valhalla.” She was commissioned to write the opera “Daniel” for the Church of the Redeemer in Chestnut Hill, MA, as well as a piece for the Oakley Street cello ensemble of Chicago, IL. When not working with MOSAIC, she performs with the bands,”Minusworld” and “Agents of Marque,” dances with Fresh Pond Ballet of Cambridge, and studies vegetarian cooking.
