Ramy Abdelghani

Ramy Abdelghani is a co-producer of ImprovBoston’s monthly late-night experimental variety show, LaughterRisk*, as well as its twice-weekly comedy incubator, Comedy Lab. He was interested in improv for a long time, but dipped his toe in the water after after applying improvisational concepts while conceptualizing activities like scavenger hunts and live-action “choose your own adventure” games with local event planning groups Banditos Misteriosos and BostonSOS. You can catch Ramy and his work in locally-produced short films, one-act plays, storytelling events, and when he’s lucky, the occasional ImprovBoston seasonal sketch showcase. He's a member of the sketch comedy group Mister Bismuth (Twitter/FB/IG/Soundcloud @misterbismuth; short films at vimeo.com/jrgcase), and plays the Spokane with Wheelhouse, a local indie improv team. He's also active in the Boston poetry scene and periodically lends his bad hearing to a long-running translation of The Odyssey via the game of Telephone (The Telephodyssey) at http://www.bbtp.net/telephodyssey.htm. Oh, and he's been known to listen to the same album on repeat for, like, a whole week.
