Steve Sarro

Steve Sarro joined ImprovBoston as a music director in the spring of 2013, a role that allows him to unite his two lifelong passions for music and comedy. Steve is a classically trained pianist and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. His first major role in the theater and one of his proudest accomplishments was to serve as the very first music director for Face Off, working with the cast and director John Serpico to introduce improvised music to the fast-paced, high-energy weekly competitive improv show that he continues to remain a regular part of. In addition, he has served as music director for ImprovBoston's Mainstage and Family Show, as well as numerous showcase shows including Gorefest 2013, Downton IB, Magic: the Gathering: the Show, and most recently the Fourth of July-themed sketch showcase Comedy, America! Aside from his first love of improv music directing, he is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter, and is also actively involved in children's theater programs as a music director, writer and composer.
